We are pursuing this mission by enabling industrial companies to manage energy with AI. We have developed the energy management platform flexOn for this purpose. It uses AI-based data analysis and automation to shift the electricity consumption of existing infrastructure to green and favorable periods. flexOn serves as an intelligent control room that bi-directionally adjusts energy flows to the availability of renewable energy at the customer’s location and in the markets.
Thereby, we are creating a new way for companies to consume energy efficiently: Transparent, predictable and independent. Thanks to our strong network in the energy market and plant engineering, we are setting new standards and providing answers to all relevant energy questions from our customers.
The business idea was born in 2019 from the observation that renewable energies are not being used effectively enough and a lot of potential is getting lost. As a result, Daniel, Torge and Sascha founded encentive in 2020 and worked intensively on the topics of smart grids, heat pumps and grid-interactive buildings.
This led to the vision that resulted in the first version of flexOn and the appointment of our first employee in 2022. In 2023, we then released the automatic, AI-based consumption control as part of flexOn and completed our seed financing.
In the meantime, the first employee has grown into a team of 18 experts in mathematics, engineering, software development, sales and marketing who are constantly developing our business idea.

As a qualified systems engineer, he is interested in the complex interrelationships of the energy system and the energy industry. Daniel not only supports our customers in technical sales, but also has extensive knowledge of their processes and systems.

As co-founder and co-CEO with a Master's degree in Finance and Economics, Torge is the expert for commercial topics, figures and visions. He is responsible for sales, marketing and investor relations. He is also passionate about the energy industry and the specific features and roles of the energy system.

As co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Sascha leads the development of our energy management platform flexOn. In addition to his background in computer science, he has a special interest in cryptography, information security and renewable energies. Sascha works daily on solutions to seamlessly integrate existing infrastructure into the energy system of the future.
